IYH ( InYour Hands) performance
Zámori Eszter's artwork, titled 'In your hands,' is made from pear wood and shaped like an iPhone. It is a ring or piece of palm jewelry. It serves as a mental therapy aid, an emotional prosthesis that stimulates the wearer through touch and by its sheer physical presence, imitating the act of using a mobile device. The significant amount of time spent with a mobile phone influences deep thinking, information reception and processing, shapes new behaviors and habits, and has a significant impact on the human body and movement, altering and potentially distorting it.
This peice of jewelry inspired a dancer and a sound designer from Berlin to experiment, and the result of their collaborative work is a performance partly based on structured modern dance improvisation. The 'In your hands' performance is closely intertwined with the human body, showcasing the jewelry during movement, shedding light on the evolutionary process that the use of digital devices currently imposes on the human body. The performance is accompanied by the evocation of mobile ringtone sounds as its musical background.The piece was created in Berlin, with the support of progressive experimental performance spaces such as LAKE Studios Berlin and CORDILLERA Berlin, where it was presented in July 2023. The creative process was enhanced by incorporating feedback from the audience, post-performance discussions, and workshop lessons. In Budapest, the venue of the SÍN Arts Center provided space for preparatory rehearsals.
The palm jewelry and dance video were presented together at the "Reflections" exhibition in Hungary at FUGA. The program also included an invitation for a live performance and an interactive discussion following the presentation. Another component of the program was a workshop held at Jurányi Ház, Budapest.
Each of our appearances is part of an experiment with the program, evolving and redefining itself during the performance. The performative gesture of wearing an object creates well-modeled and analyzable situations on a professionally moving human body. The question highlighted by the object is: the altered human movement through wearing the object becomes visible, showcasing a kind of evolution, and triggers viewer interactions.

In Your Hands – performansz
Zámori Eszter In your hands című körtefából készült, iPhone-t formázó alkotása,egy gyűrű vagy tenyérékszer, egyfajta mentális terápia kelléke, érzelmi protézis, amely tapintásával, fizikai jelenlétével, a használat imitálása révén stimulálja a viselőt. A mobiltelefonnal töltött jelentős mennyiségű idő befolyásolja az elmélyült gondolkodást, az információ befogadását és feldolgozását, új viselkedést és szokásokat alakít ki, illetve az emberi testre és mozgására is jelentősen hat, megváltoztatja és deformálhatja azt.
Az ékszer kísérletezésre inspirált egy berlini táncost és egy hang dizájnert, és ennek a tárgyalkotóval közös munkának az eredménye egy részben kötött modern tánc improvizáción alapuló performansz lett. Az In your hands című performansz az emberi testtel szinte összenőve, mozgás közben mutatja meg az ékszert, rávilágítva arra az evolúciós folyamatra, amit a digitális eszközök használata a jelen pillanatban az emberi testre gyakorol. A performansz zenei aláfestésében a mobil csengőhangok idéződnek meg.
A darab Berlinben készült el, olyan progresszív kísérleti előadóterek támogatásával, mint a LAKE Studios Berlin és a CORDILLERA Berlin,ahol a bemutató volt 2023 júliusában. Az alkotói folyamat módszerét még a nézők visszajelzései,az előadás után rendezett beszélgetés és workshop tanulságainak beépítése jellemezte. Budapesten a SÍN Arts and Center helysége adott teret az előkészítő próbáknak.
A tenyérékszer és a táncvideó együtt a Reflexió című hangzó tárgyak kiállításon lett Magyarországon a FUGA-ban bemutatva. A pkiállításra meghívót kapott a performansz élő bemutatása is és a bemutatót követő interaktív beszélgetés. A program része volt még egy workshop, ami a Jurányi Házban került megrendezésre.
Minden megjelenésünk a programmal egy kísérlet része, miközben az előadás fejlődik, újra definiálódik. A viselés performatív gesztusa egy profin mozgó emberi testen jól modellezhető és elemezhető helyzeteket teremt. A tárgy által fókuszba helyezett kérdés: a tárgyviselés által megváltozott emberi mozgás, egyfajta evolúció jól láthatóvá válik és nézői interakciókat vált ki.
