A lépték változásával is új hatások jönnek létre. A súlyos és áthatolhatatlan fémsodrony textilcsipke-szerűvé válik vékonydrótból elkészítve. A csipke-sodrony készítése is inkább textiles technikának tűnik, horgoláshoz, kötéshez hasonlónak, monoton, számolós, feminin.
A készítés folyamata annak a kontemplációs útnak a lenyomata, amin addig járok, amíg a tárgy elkészül.
Azokat a szerepeket, amikkel azonosulni képes lehetek, összhangba kerülhetek.
I have always been interested in other crafttechniques that metalworking may be in interaction or symbiosis with. What, for example, is the story of how a strand of spun textile becomes rope, lace, or part of a weaving, or how a metal wire becomesa chain, a cable, or a net? How does the soft, feminine quality of a material reveal itself in a seemingly rigid, smart, and masculinemetal texture? How do experiences gained in a certain area become anintegral part of a material that is similar on the surface but workscompletely differently in such a way, that the end result is similar to its prefiguration?
Neweffects can be created by changing the scale; heavy and impenetrablechain mail becomes lacelike when made of thin wire. The counting andmonotony of constructing the lace mail was itself more akin tofeminine textile techniques such as crocheting and knitting.
The process of construction is an imprint of the contemplative path Ifollow until the object is completed. I must cooperate with the material and be familiar with it; I cannot violate it. If I want toachieve a soft textile-like effect using metal, I must speak thelanguage of metal as well as that of textile.
Professionaland artistic precision is a good form of patriotism. I have roots inthe place I was born. The women of history exemplify ways in which wecan cooperate and mutually utilize the advantages of interdependence, the roles I am able to identify with and be in harmony with.
The role in which I define myself and am aligned with my environment and my homeland. In which I create contemporary Hungarian fine artjewelry. Where people pay attention to me and are curious about me.And where they wear my objects.
proPatria
„Dulce et decorum est proPatria mori
mors et fugacem persequitur” sponsam et viduam.
(Horatius: Odae III/2)
Róluk gondolkodtam,amíg fűztem a sodronyt. Végtelen hosszan, meditációs tudatállapotban. Középkori technika csipke kivitelben. Szabás,számolás, szorgalom, hűség: ez a hazaszeretet. Átéltem.Összhangba kerültem elődeimmel.
Where, Horatio, are the noble women who have beenbetrothed since they were but an ovum? They opened their lap in theinterest of the state to conceive rulers, and remarried if thepotentate died. Their body was a battlefield and underneath theirarmor at times their pink skin quivered. Ipondered them as I was linking the mail for an infinite time and in ameditative state. Medieval technique in the form of lace. Tailoring, counting, diligence, and fidelity: this is patriotism. I experiencedit. I was in harmony with my predecessors.

Hol vannak azok a hős nők, akik petesejt koruk óta szabadok és zabolátlanok voltak? Egykeblű, hajlékony leányok harci lobogó alatt, szüntelen férfivadászaton. Lány gyermeküket csapatban nevelő leányanyák, ókori szinglik, karrieristák. Rózsaszínbőrük nem remegett kisfiaik láttán. Róluk gondolkodtam,amíg sodortam a páncélt. Végtelen hosszan, meditációs tudatállapotban. Antik technika mellvért-pánt kivitelben. Tűz,edzés, forgás, önérdek: ez a hazaszeretet. Átéltem. Összhangbakerültem elődeimmel.
Whereare the heroic women who have been free and intemperate since theywere but an ovum? Flexible young girls with one breast under awarrior’s flag on a never-ending manhunt. Girl-mothers raisingtheir daughters together, ancient single mothers, careerists. Theirpink skin never quivered at the sight of their young sons. Ipondered them as I was linking the mail for an infinite time and in ameditative state. Antique technique in the form of a breastplatestrap. Fire, tempering, turning, self-interest: this is patriotism. Iexperienced it. I was in harmony with my predecessors.
A királynő monogramját! A kivágott részt sokszor elteszem, kallódik. Ilyen a hazaszeretet is. Levágom magamról a címkét: madeinhungary. De elteszem, kallódik. Aztán elbizonytalanodom. Nem egyszerűbb visszavarrni?
In the museum we see that invisible diligent hands have embroidered Queen Victoria’s monogram into her underwear. The Queen’s monogram! Today the brand label on a trendy item of lingerie indicates that if I wear it I will also be a queen. These labels – usually printed – are a form of advertising and also serve as an instruction manual. They are not about me and my queenliness, but about business. I don’t know what others do, but I always cut the label out. It irritates me. And by doing so the piece becomes mine. I often save the label so that when I grow uncertain as to what it is made of and how to wash it I can refer to it, but it inadvertently becomes misplaced and lost. This is what patriotism is like. I cut my madeinhungary label off and save it, but it inadvertently becomes misplaced and lost. Then I become uncertain. Wouldn’t it be easier to just sew it back on?
